A DISCIPLINED bowling performance saw Optimists cruise past St Pierre at Port Soif last night to pick up their second win of the season.

Batting first, St Pierre were restricted to 127 for eight from their 20 overs, only Adam Clark and Karl Ogier really getting going, Clark scoring an impressive 42 from 34 balls.

Chris van Vliet was the pick of the bowlers, conceding just seven runs from his four overs at the start, while Jake Le Marchant picked up three late wickets in four balls.

That target proved light work for Optimists, with openers Adam Le Page and Ben Cormack putting on 94 for the first wicket in little more than 11 overs.
