HEATHER WATSON'S week got better this afternoon with the news that she and Laura Robson have been handed a wild card place in the women's doubles at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Wimbledon will host the tennis event, three weeks after the end of the annual Championships at the All England Club.
Britain's two other Fed Cup team members Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha have been given wildcards into the women's singles by the ITF.
Watson won a singles match at Wimbledon for the first time yesterday, beating Iveta Benesova on Centre Court in the first round.
