BURDENED by the massive expectations of a little island, a nation and a packed Centre Court crowd, Heather Watson slipped out of Wimbledon for another year.
The world number three, Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska, blew the Guernsey star away 6-0, 6-2 yesterday evening under
the cover of the roof and in front of 15,000 largely disappointed spectators.
In many ways it was a sad ending to what has been a magnificent tournament for the 20-year-old and probable GB No. 1 elect.
The writing was on the wall for the Guernsey woman from as early as her first service game.
