CI contingent glad for Le Ber's win

When Le Ber came off the green, he was painfully aware that his Guernsey team-mates had fallen at the first hurdle in pairs, triples and junior singles – and that Jersey's representatives had all failed to get beyond their first games.
And he admitted that it had been gratifying to get support from so many Channel Islanders – from both islands – during his clash with the local hero.
The lead changed hands continually before Le Ber got over the line 21-19, and the popular Welshman was quick to offer his congratulations with an outstretched hand.
