Le Ber and Batiste both in running for six titles

MATT LE BER and Doreen Batiste will be the two busiest bowlers on island championship semi-final weekend.

At the final count both had qualified for six semi-finals and will be kept busy with three games on each day of the semi-final weekend on 4-5 August to be played at the Corbet Field by rota.

In the Open Singles quarter-finals, played at Beau Sejour, Daniel de la Mare beat Nigel Collins 21-15.

Gary Pitschou was on his usual form when he met Dan Le Cheminant and won 21-7 in 17 ends.

Todd Priaulx is also through after beating Aimee Ogier, an his adversary from their novice single days, 21-8.

Making up the final four is Le Ber, who beat Jackie Nicolle 21-9.
