USA giants lie in wait for Watson

EVER wondered how Heather Watson might measure up against the brutal hitting of the Williams sisters?

Well, we might find out soon enough after yesterday's draws for the Olympic Games.

And while the singles has been fairly kind to our all-time top women's tennis player, the doubles less so. Should Watson and Laura Robson manage to negotiate the formidable German partnership of Angelique Kerber and Sabine Lisicki in round one, then there is a fair chance that the Williams pair will be awaiting them in the second round.

In the women's singles our British No. 1 plays 24-year-old Spaniard Silvia Soler-Espinosa, the world No. 63, in round one, but the playing schedule will not be released until tonight.
