DARREN WARWICK continues to set the local bar up Le Val des Terres after another record-breaking Guernsey Kart and Motor Club hill climb at the weekend.
In total, an impressive 12 class records were lowered, although it was Warwick's final effort of 28.22sec. that stood out as the big boys took centre stage.
That bettered his own record for a Guernseyman of 28.33 and he needed it to withstand the fierce challenge of rivals James Shorto and Tim Torode.
Both men set their own personal bests and also went sub-29 for the first time, Shorto going up in 28.82 which was still not enough to get second place overall after Saunders recorded 28.68.
