Top Katz are the most tip-top triples champs

TOP KATZ shocked the two-time defending champions Falcons on Sunday to claim the Tostevin Men's Triples bowls crown.

The holders, Garry Collins, Dan de la Mare and Matt Le Ber, went 4-1 ahead in the first three ends, but then conceded a 4-2-1 sequence.

They briefly stopped the rot with a single, but then Todd Priaulx, Ricky Brehaut and skip Kris Bichard picked up five more unanswered shots over the next three ends.

Top Katz were playing some brilliant bowls and although de la Mare turned ends around at second, rebuilding some good ends in Falcons' favour, Bichard outplayed the island No.1 to turn the heads back to his team's advantage.
