'We've got a lot to work on' says coach Reynolds

GUERNSEY'S final warm-up match, before their National III debut against Staines next week, proved to be a disappointing one for coach Jordan Reynolds - despite them winning 44-3 in Jersey.
Playing a mainly young Jersey Rugby Asssociation Select in gale force winds at St Peter, Guernsey went 3-0 down to a Will Falle penalty but ended up comfortable winners after a forwards-based response and a hat-trick of tries from Nick Barton and other scores from Darren Billingham, Lewis Hillier and Luke Sayer, the latter kicking the points.
'That not a good performance. It was a bit of backward step,' said an unhappy Reynolds.
'We've certainly got a lot to work on before playing Staines.'
Reynolds, whose side won London South West II despite a slow start last season, felt his new summer acquisitions had performed well, but summed up the performance by saying: 'It looked as though the break has taken a toll on us'.
