SARAH GAUDION is 'still on cloud nine' after making history at the Alderney Sprint and Hill Climb meeting.

After two blistering days of racing in the northern isle, Gaudion lowered both women's record times, but most impressively broke her racing cars 1101cc-1600cc class record in the hill climb.

She is now believed to be the first woman to hold a class record in the history of Channel Islands motorsport after her effort of 24.95 eclipsed Glen Tanquerel's 25.00 set in 2006.

'I was absolutely ecstatic to break the class record because I didn't really have much idea of how fast I could go,' she said.
