GUERNSEY cricket will need a new senior representative coach after Andy Cornford's decision to step down from the role after five years.
Cornford, pictured, was appointed as national coach back in 2007 and since then has overseen one of the most successful periods in history for the Guernsey team, but has now decided the team needs a more hands-on leader.
'I believe the team requires a new improved environment in order to prepare and develop the team, as well as working more closely with our younger players,' he explained.
