BRETT PEARCE was the Guernsey star as they secured the senior team inter-insular title in a closely-fought battle on the Pleinmont motocross track.
The two-day event saw both a junior and senior competition and while the youngsters convincingly lost out 25-10, the seniors scraped home 9-6.
In the final race of the weekend to decide the team prize, Pearce led from start to finish and, with team-mate Jake Pearce coming home third, the victory was secured.
It finished off a good weekend for Pearce, who also finished as runner-up in the individual standings after the six-race meeting, with Jersey's Ben Le Cornu pipping him by just three points.
