Strong qualification paves way for Andy

ANDY PRIAULX has not had a lot to smile about in his debut DTM season but a good result in Valencia gives him plenty of encouragement ahead of the final weekend of the season.

His Crowne Plaza Hotels BMW M3 DTM crossed the line in eighth after some tough battling in the closing stages of the 46-lap race round the 4.005 kilometre Circuit de la Comunitat, about 20 kilometres outside the Spanish city.

'That was a good race and I had a lot of fun out there,' he said.

'Ultimately, it was a good result for me to finish in the top eight. I am very happy with that. '
