A TRIO of local hockey's most promising youngsters will look to impress the England selectors after being selected for the West of England team.
Elizabeth College students Andrew Clark and Andrew Oxburgh have been selected for the boys' under-18 and under-16s respectively, while Ladies' College student Dannielle Jones has been chosen for the girls' under-18s.
On top of that, a fourth youngster, Anthony Stokes, 13, has been chosen as a non-travelling reserve for the under-15s high performance camp.
Clark, Oxburgh and Jones will all play for the Wessex Leopards in the Futures Cup, a four-day tournament being held in Cannock from 1 November. They will come up against the three other English regions – Saxon Tigers, Mercia Lynx and Pennine Pumas – attempting to be crowned national champions.
