After arguably the best year of her career, the 20-year-old Guernsey girl was back in her home island for a brief visit, before beginning her winter training schedule.
The last few months have seen her begin to rewrite the modern-day British record books, culminating in winning her maiden WTA tour title 11 days ago.
She has also played at the Rod Laver Arena, Centre Court and Arthur Ashe Stadium at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open respectively, in a year that has seen her rise to world number 49.
As she explained in an interview at her home, after playing on three of the four Grand Slam's legendary showpiece courts, that is where she feels she belongs.
