GUERNSEY flyweight Brad Watson takes a big step towards his British-title target next month.

Manager Mickey Helliet hands 'The Glamour Boy', pictured, his first six-round fight on his championship bill at The Coronet in London's Elephant and Castle on Friday 23 November.

Southampton ticket-seller Matty Tew tops the bill when he battles Ruben Mosvesian for the vacant International Masters lightweight belt and Watson is also heading for title contention too after chalking up four straight wins.

'I've proved I'm ready to step up a level,' said the 22-year-old, 'and after I've boxed a six-rounder I will be able to take a title fight if the chance comes along.

'I'm not saying I'm ready to fight for titles just yet, but you never know when the phone will ring. As soon as Mickey thinks it is the right thing to do, I'm up for it.'
