ADAM GIRARD took advantage of a welcome and rare tailwind at Vazon on Saturday to post the fastest time of the day at the rescheduled sprint meeting.
On his Fireblade 1000, Girard posted a blistering 9.90 on his fourth and final run of the morning meeting which yielded three new class records.
But none of them could get near Girard in terms of time or speed over the line.
His was the only single-figure clocking of an event which finally brought down the curtain on the 2012 motor racing season and he achieved it with a crazy 140mph over the finish line a quarter-mile further down the road.
