GARRY DODD showed imperious form to regain the Whistlers Open singles title at the GTTA Centre last night.

The CI table tennnis champion did not drop a set in sweeping to the title, although Phil Ogier very nearly snatched a couple in the final that the left-hander won 13-11, 11-5, 12-10.

The semi-finals were significant for the appearance of the talented and quickly emerging Stacey twins.

But Dodd, pictured, gave Lawrence no respite and swept past the youngster for the loss of just six points.
