THERE could hardly have been a closer finish to the second Indoor Open netball tournament at the ICG Centre.
In an exciting final to the largely mixed seven-a-side section of the weekend, the Southern Swifts side, comprising three local players and four from the UK, edged out Invincibles One 11-10.
Rob Jennings, Emily Creed and Donna Brehaut brought a Sarnian twist to the winning combination who had only just edged past their final opponents in the group stage.
The Swifts won that one 13-11, but the final was even tighter.
From 7-7 at the break, the score inched along to 10-10 with three minutes left on the clock.
