THE Channel Islands Cricket League has folded after seven seasons.

After consultation with their Caesarean counterparts, the Guernsey Cricket Board has decided to go their own way in terms of proving a better standard of weekend cricket by way of a new four-team super league and more regular island representatives games.

Cobo Tigers, Odey Rovers, PKF Wanderers and this year's Guernsey and CI champions, Argyll Investment, will play each other three times in 50-over matches using a white ball.

The winner will play the Jersey champions in an end of season 'Upton'.

GCB chief executive Mark Latter, pictured, admitted, 'it wasn't working any longer'.
