UNDEFEATED Priaulx League leaders Belgrave Wanderers won their first ever match in Jersey's Le Riche Cup on Saturday.

Last season's Championship winners St Brelade gave a fine account of themselves on a greasy surface, but after levelling the scores just after half-time through Kyle Hampshire, they were then hit by three goals in a 12-minute period from the 54th minute and after that they were always chasing the game.

But full credit to the home side, they continued to play attractively by moving the ball quickly and with purpose but they often lacked a decisive final pass or they were stopped in their tracks by some solid Bels defending.

Carl Wallbridge opened and completed the scoring for Bels while Simon Marley side-footed home the visitors' second and central defender Chris Young scored the third by powering home a header from Marley's corner kick.
