GUERNSEY football is again counting the cost of another wet winter weekend as every match due to be played on Saturday was postponed.

Top of that list was Guernsey FC's scheduled encounter with South Park at Footes Lane, but it was the Guernsey Football Association who were hit hardest on this occasion.

While GFC's match was called off before the visitors travelled to the island, that was not the case for Dorset under-18s, who arrived in the island for their Mick Parry match against Guernsey.

But after the Corbet Field, Track and Victoria Avenue were all deemed unplayable, the game will have to be rearranged and that has cost the GFA in the region of £4,000.
