ANDY WHALLEY hit four as the Casuals threatened to totally overwhelm the light blues in the second of Saturday's Division One hockey triple-header at Footes Lane.

But while Whalley was at his imperious best in a first period which decisively went the way of Andy Graham's title challengers, the goal of the game came from his team's talented young junior Welsh international, Tomos Ap Sion.

Anyone who saw the Grammar student's wonderful finish and stick skills will have gone away impressed – and he certainly has an admirer in Graham.

'If he concentrates on his hockey he could be very good,' said Graham who is well aware of the youngster's talents away from hockey.

Graham was delighted with the way his side wrapped up the points from an early stage and in so doing ensured against a damaging slip-up.
