WITH three wins in their last four outings it is clear that Windsor have put behind them the early season shock of losing most of their best players in one go.

As such, they come here tomorrow as dangerous opponents.

The 'Stags' recent form has certainly alerted Green Lions boss Tony Vance, pictured, to the dangers of a go-ahead community club, very much in the same vein and with long-term ambitions as Guernsey FC.

'They are certainly a threat and thanks to a certain Rob Batiste for winding them up earlier in the season,' laughed Vance in recalling this paper's reporting of their September woes when Windsor club chairman Kevin Stott slashed the playing budget available and a large number of top players followed disgruntled manager Keith Scott out of the door.

Windsor supporters were aggrieved to read in the Guernsey Press that they were 'broke' when the truth was that the club had made a sudden but sensible about-turn on financing the first-team and put long-term development ambitions at the top of their list.
