The bottom two sides show that they do not lack fight

THEY may be propping up the top flight but ABN Amro and Intertrust Two, without a win between them, can still turn in some dogged performances.

That was the case for the Intertrust girls who gave Richmond Fiduciary a run for their money before going down by five goals in a low-scoring match.

It should have been a comfortable victory for Richmond but the long reach of Intertrust GK Natalie Carre meant that Richmond GS Jan Fazakerley was not having an easy time and the latter found it difficult to convert her chances.

ABN may be bottom of the winter league, but they took on the men in the mixed section and acquitted themselves well. They never gave up fighting and Cassie Le Page was awesome in her fight for the ball and drive through the court.
