ULTIMATELY 2012 was not quite the year Alice Loveridge was seeking.
She was, by Guernsey measures, her usual brilliant self and in national terms, up there with the very best.
But, sadly, the London Olympic games spot she so much cherished, proved just beyond her.
That does not mean her Olympic dream is anywhere near over and being just 18, Rio de Janeiro in 2016 should be well within her range.
On the local and CI front Loveridge, pictured, was imperious among the women, but in the autumn she had to settle for second best when the Six Nations Tournament came to Guernsey.
