MOURANT Ozannes A have clinched another Division One Grand Final crown following a comfortable win over Odey Rovers A at the ICG Centre.

Despite being without the services of island player David Hooper, who was away in South Africa with Sussex CCC, the men in purple were always in control from the first ball of the decider.

Having won the toss, Mourant Ozannes captain Lee Savident opted to field first and his decision proved to be vindicated after seeing his side restrict Odey Rovers A to just 42 from their first 12 overs.

Dane Mullen opened the bowling and quickly took the score into negative figures and had it not been for a valiant 25 from Ben Fitchet batting in the third pair, things could have been even bleaker for Rovers.
