ALI MERRIEN heads off to Potters Leisure Resort today for another crack at the world indoor title, boosted by her clean sweep of finals at the weekend's CI Championships played at Grainville.
But she had to work hard to land the CI singles crown from Jersey's Helen Greechan, the mother of star Jersey bowler Thomas.
The Sarnian, pictured, trailed 17-6 after 15 ends of their first to 21 shots showdown on the Jersey indoor rink.
But then back came Merrien and by winning six of the next seven ends, including a full house of four, she pipped Greechan at the post, 21-18.
'Was I in a spot of bother? Only a little bit,' she said afterwards.
