HEATHER WATSON crashed to a second-round defeat in the PTT Pattaya Open in Thailand yesterday.
The eighth seed lost to Latvian Anastasija Sevatova, who is ranked 143 places below the British No.1 at 183rd in the world, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-2 in 2hr 26min.
Meanwhile, Watson and partner Marina Erakovic are still waiting to play their women's doubles first round match.

HE KEPT the world number two on court for 36 minutes, but Guernsey star Chris Simpson is out of the Swedish Open.
Simpson lost in straight sets 6-11, 5-11, 3-11 to fellow Englishman Nick Matthews at the $70,000 event in Lingkoping.
