THE Men's Division One hockey title race continues it course towards a grand finale.
Having seen the leaders ABN Amro claim another three points with a narrow 3-2 victory over Elizabeth College last Thursday, Colombians ensured they stayed within striking distance at the top of the table on a bright but blustery afternoon at the Memorial Field on Saturday.
However, they had to do it the hard way, coming from behind to beat a committed Yobbos side who had been viewed as a potential banana skin by their opponents beforehand and that almost became a reality.
It could have been a very different story had the champions been awarded the goal they thought they should have had within the opening three minutes, but as Zak Damarell claimed that the ball had crossed the line, the umpires did not agree and play continued.
