WITH one meeting left in the Winter autocross Championship the defending champion's lead has been cut to a single point by his teammate.
When Callum Queripel and teamate Ozzy Ozanne were drawn in the same heat race, the points gap was predicted to close.
Queripel easily won from Ozanne and a consistent Shaun Bichard so this meant the points gap remained at three.
Ozanne duly won the race of seconds from Trevor Breton, but could only score a maximum eight points.
Queripel dominated the race of firsts from Adam Langlois, who is now third in points, to claim the maximum 10 and leave the gap at a solitary point, with 10 more on offer at the next meeting.
