AFTER his enforced Footes Lane hiatus, Chris Tardif will be glad to don the goalkeeping gloves again as home action returns for Guernsey FC tomorrow.

But, as he revealed, he has been no stranger to 'The Lane' in recent weeks.

For Tardif, pictured, the game against Wembley in the CCL Premier Division will be the latest of his daily trips to the ground as he oversees the building of the fence demanded by the FA.

In order to meet FA regulations, work has started recently on the six-foot perimeter 'wall' that must be completed next month and Tardif is in charge of the task as part of his professional working life at Long Port.
