GUERNSEY'S men's hockey team have the home draw they wanted in the EH Trophy semi-finals.

Now they hope their powers of persuasion will convince South Cheshire to visit Footes Lane for their last-four encounter scheduled for Sunday 24 March.

'Fingers crossed,' was island captain Matt Watson's response to the chance of playing another round of the national competition in front of home support.

However, South Cheshire have the option of having the match played at a neutral venue in England if they choose not to travel to the island.

'It's nice to get a home draw, but we'll have to wait and see whether or not they come,' Watson, pictured, said.
