JAYNE CARTER admits she is 'over the moon' as she prepares to make her England Masters debut in France tomorrow.
The 55-year-old teacher has lived in Guernsey for the last 23 years and plays her local hockey for Amazons.
But the former Somerset, Norfolk and Wiltshire county player will now get the chance to represent her country at over-55s level, starting with a Four Nations tournament in Lille this weekend.
'I talked about going for the initial trials several times, before Michelle Gilson encouraged me and accompanied me on the first trials for the West selection in Taunton,' explained Carter, pictured.
