BRING on the title play-off.

Colombians held off a determined fight back from 'Indies' to draw level at the top of the Men's hockey Division One table in thrilling fashion at Footes Lane on Saturday, but just when it seemed 'Indies' might sneak a late equaliser and snatch the title they so yearned for, Matt Watson scored a remarkable goal worthy of clinching any game.

Adam Le Page had just pulled it back to 3-4 with just a few minutes plus stoppage time remaining, when Tim Ravenscroft, who had struck a blinding goal himself earlier, picked out his captain free and in acres of space, with a crisp 70-yard diagonal ball.

Watson still had Nick Robilliard to beat and instead of trying to round the keeper, he audaciously produced the perfect lob, high over the keeper and into the goal via a desperate flailing Indies stick on the line.

It was a great goal to end a cracking game and also any hopes Indies had of a big title-clinching party that night.
