Guernsey to face Andover in semis

GUERNSEY'S reward for reaching the semi-finals of the Investec EH Women's hockey Vase is a home draw against Andover.

The Sarnian women booked their place in the last four of the competition with a 5-0 quarter-final victory over Burnt Ash on Sunday, with captain Emma Atkinson reporting that it was a deserved victory.

'Dannie Jones scored the first goal with basically our first move of the match and we continued to apply the pressure throughout the first half, restricting them to just one shot on goal,' she said.

'We missed a few chances that we probably should have taken, but Liz Dudin scored the second just before half-time, which deflated them further.'
