THE first Summer Autocross Championship meeting was held on Chouet Beach in strong NNE winds – but no snow.
Ozzy Ozanne took the early lead from Shaun Bichard with no Callum Queripel in sight.
In the women's category, Linda Jones predictably won the maximum points and with two second places Richard Smith was the best veteran.
A puncture in his heat race for Queripel saw him end the meeting with zero championship points, leaving Ozanne on a maximum.
He was chased home in the main race by Shaun Bichard, who had a good result from another young charger, Adam Langlois.
