THE Beau Sejour Barracudas returned from the final weekend of the Hampshire County Championships with an impressive nine titles.

The team of 18 junior and senior swimmers excelled at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth, where they were up against strong opposition in a 50m pool.

The most outstanding female performance came from 15-year-old Courtney Butcher, who claimed five junior titles, dominating the freestyle and backstroke events by winning the 50, 100 and 200 free and the 50 and 100 back all in personal best times.

Her outstanding performance in the 50 freestyle also earned her the women's open title with a long-course PB of 27.75sec. – just 0.17 shy of the island record.
