AFTER a year that saw him make history on the hill, John Rowlinson is looking forward to potentially the fastest days of his life in 2013.

Monday sees the first hill climb meeting of the year at Le Val des Terres, with around 100 entries already confirmed with the Guernsey Motor Cycle & Car Club.

Forty-eight hours earlier, a Guernsey Kart and Motor Club sprint opens the new local motorsport calendar.

Last April, Rowlinson became the first man ever on two wheels to record the 'FTD' at a local hill climb, as he took his Honda up in 37.69sec. in the rain of the season's first meeting, beating all of the elite car drivers in the process.

And while he doesn't expect to necessarily hit those lofty winning heights again, he is confident of bettering his personal best of 33.80, as he starts a new era with a new-look bike.
