England's words of wisdom

WORLD star Hannah England gave GIAAC juniors and established seniors a masterclass at Footes Lane last evening.
Assisted by husband Luke Gunn, the four times and defending British champion in the steeplechase, and Guernsey's own Lee Merrien, the 1,500m specialist who took silver in Daegu two years ago, gave not only training tips but provided a valuable insight into what is needed to reach the very top.
England, 26, first took a technical session with the junior endurance group, supported by a short video and an introduction about her and her achievements.
Then, with the island's senior distance runners as avid listeners, she conducted a question and answer session in the GIAAC club room.
As part of her preparations for the 2013 track season, England raced twice over the KPMG Easter Festival and has not discounted running a serious race on the track here this summer.
