COURTNEY BUTCHER again shone as a large contingent of Sarnian swimmers enjoyed success at the inaugural AIB Tigers Four-Way Easter Meet in Jersey last weekend.

The new event was created primarily to help Jersey's top swimmers attempt to gain their qualification times for the summer's Island Games, but 36 Barracudas and five Guernsey Swimming Club members competed.

All events were staged at either ASA licence level two or three, the difference being that a minimum qualifying standard had to be achieved to swim in the higher level-two events.

Barracudas returned with a huge medal haul of 26 gold, 42 silver and 30 bronze medals at level two and 40 gold, 33 silver and 27 bronze medals at level three.
