Oxburgh scores for England in Valencia

ELIZABETH College's Andrew Oxburgh played in all four matches for the England Under-16s hockey team in the Easter Four Nations Tournament in Valencia.

He and three others had played the previous season for the same national age-group side, but it was the first taste of international hockey for most of the Sarnian's colleagues.

Despite scoring the first and last goals of the game, England went down 2-7 to the Netherlands in the third/fourth place play-off match.

They battled well against a strong Dutch side in their opening match,but were on the wrong end of a 0-3 scoreline.
