GARRY DODD will equal Phil Ogier's haul of six island singles championships if he lives up to his top seeding at Saturday's finals night at the GTTA Centre.

Dodd was nothing less than imperious as he made his way to another final, dropping just two sets all evening before burying Adam Langlois 4-0 in the semi-finals.

Ogier was only marginally less impressive and it was quite a surprise to see him dismantle the challenge of Scott Romeril, the third seed, for the loss of just 17 points over four straight ends in the other semi-final.

Ogier's toughest game came against an in-form Matthew Stubbington, who over the course of the evening highlighted how he can step up to the Green Trophy team playing at this level.
