ALISON MERRIEN has booked her place in another world final.

The defending champion has again reached the showpiece occasion in the indoors World Cup Women's Singles at the Warilla club in New South Wales following a hard-fought victory over Canadian Kelly McKerihen.

The two players had met in the qualifying stages in which Merrien, pictured, had been a convincing 14-4, 7-5 winner before McKerihen finished the group strongly to finish second behind the Guernsey star.

The Canadian then went on to beat Scotland's Michelle Cooper in the quarter-final to set up a second meeting with Merrien, who received a bye through to the last four.
