Reynolds proud of effort

GUERNSEY coach Jordan Reynolds was proud of his threadbare side's efforts despite falling to defeat on Saturday.

An away trip to fourth-placed Westcombe Park in National Three London & South-East would be tough in normal circumstances, but Reynolds had 14 players unavailable and went into the match with a squad of just 16.

He was, though, impressed with how the group stuck to their task through the 80 minutes.

'We had a talk before the game and said we could allow Westcombe to walk all over us or we could try to play some rugby and the guys did that,' Reynolds said.
