Race is on to be first Sarnian across the line

The British No. 1 marathon runner will still head Guernsey's all-time marathon ranking list on Sunday evening, but the chase is very much on to be the island's top finisher in tomorrow's Virgin London Marathon.
Form points to James Tostevin, Kerry Robin, Marc Tetlow and Stuart Le Noury in leading the bid to be first Sarnian over the finish line in The Mall.
A betting man might put a few pounds on James Tostevin being that runner, the 31-year-old enjoying a PB of 2-52-43 that puts him 21st on the Guernsey all-time list.
He is aiming for 2-50 this time around, which would lift him several places in the ranking list and into the all-time top 20, but if there is one 'Guern' who might have his measure over 26 miles, it could be Marc Tetlow.
