AHEAD of the first purely domestic weekend cricket championship in some years, the Guernsey Cricket Board have signed a three-year deal with Swoffers to back the three weekend competitions from this season.
The deal covers the main four-team championship, the new second XI league and the GCA Bowl knockout.
GCB chief executive Mark Latter said it was a welcome addition to the sport's sponsorship portfolio at a new dawn for weekend cricket.
'For a few years we have not had a committed title partner in terms of a weekend sponsorship, so it is good that coincides with the introduction of a new second XI championship.
'It is also great to have a partner that has long had strong links with cricket.'
