CONFIDENCE could not be higher for the Guernsey Ladies' Rugby Club in preparation for next month's defence of the Siam Cup, as they recorded yet another victory over league opposition to maintain their 100% record for the season.

The unfortunate opponents this time were Worthing, as the Sarnians ran out comfortable winners.

Dedication is the key to success for Guernsey, with sprint training at 6am before they go to work, along with the other regular training sessions showing just how much hard work they and their coaches put in.

Straight from the kick-off, the hosts asserted their superiority at Footes Lane and with just a couple of minutes on the clock, Fiona Power lived up to her name, hammering over to score the first try.

The Sarnian forwards were as dominant as usual, which led to a couple of injuries to the Worthing girls and, with safety in mind, the referee decided to have uncontested scrums.
