MAKING the Sand Ace Championships the must-enter event in British motorsport is the lofty aim of new Guernsey Motor Cycle and Car Club president Ian Le Page.

After being elected as the new head of the club following the departure after five years of Bill Cohu, it is a case of following in the family tradition for Le Page, whose father Chris was formerly president.

That is something that makes the younger Le Page, pictured, proud and he has high hopes of continuing on the progression of a club that he believes is in a strong state.

'I have been involved with the club for over 20 years now on the committee and motorsport has always been a massive part of my family,' he explained.
