ANDY PRIAULX will be able to drive his BMW M3 DTM car in anger for the first time in six-and-a-half months today.

The 2013 season starts where it will end, in Hockenheim, and Guernsey's three-times world champion starts his second DTM campaign a wiser and even more determined driver.

The first round of 10 takes place tomorrow, with Priaulx competing for a new team in BMW Team RMG, for who he is driving alongside the 2011 champion Martin Tomczyk.

'I can't remember going so long without actually racing and am really champing at the bit,' Priaulx said. 'I always start and – for that matter, end – every season with great determination and this year is no different.'
